Carolina Lopez began her litigation practice representing insurance companies in first and third-party actions, focusing on coverage, property, and liability disputes. Her experience includes handling complex commercial and bad faith claims, high limit coverage matters, regulatory investigations, and varying types of insurance disputes from catastrophic property losses to construction defects and professional liability. She has practiced in state and federal courts throughout the country, arbitral forums, bankruptcy courts, and is admitted to the Florida, New York, and New Jersey State Bars.

Until recently, Carolina was a member of AIG's New York-based excess casualty legal team, which involved providing underwriters with legal assistance in terms of policy and manuscript drafting, contract review, and regulatory and statutory compliance.  Her in-house experience also includes consulting for the Chicago-based Brit Global Specialty USA claims and legal teams, which involved managing property and casualty claims, coverage matters, and high-stakes litigation.

Carolina graduated from the University of California - Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco where she was a member of the Moot Court, receiving awards for her oral advocacy.  She was also an Erasmus Exchange Scholar and spent a semester at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy studying comparative and international law.  She graduated from New York University as a member of the Dean's List in an accelerated three years.  She a native of Medellin, Colombia, is fluent in Spanish, and applies her understanding of diverse jurisdictions and cultures to all aspects of her practice.
